Earth’s population is still rising and mega cities tremble upon the tremendous number of citizens gather to make a living.
Man- and machine-made structures growing from an already infertile ground are the people’s only hope. The largest one is a factory that creates machines to clean earth’s ground and air. Day by day it opens its steel doors and welcomes everyone willing to work – even if it means to never make it out again.
There is still hope for mankind to keep earth as their home.
The factory opens the gates again. Like ants leaving the colony, the exhausted workers – still numb from hard work and the ever beating sound of conveyor belts and the furnace – stream towards the neon lights gleaming in the shadows of their workplace.
The structure seems chaotic. Its core is formed by cubes from different materials always branching out into new areas. Not only do they represent the wealth of each resident, as some of them are taller and of much better quality than others, they also paint the picture of a cultural melting pot.
The inhabitants brought their heritage with them. There are simple buildings made of corrugated iron with wooden elements you can find in villages on tropical islands. It is a surreal scenery that tries to fight for every attention.

But there is one entertainment far greater than all the others. It is a sport that evolved just like mankind did. Technology merged with our bodies – the only way of human evolution. You are what you build.
Fighters from all over the world gather at the structure and make their entrance. They are united and full of hope to make it to the top. They put on a their armor. A technical vest that becomes one with them. There isn’t one arena. There are many. They are on the streets, in the houses, on rooftops, in basements. They have many faces.

The United Battle League is a new martial competition series, where the fights of world class athletes take place embedded into a virtual video environment.
This will open a new dimension. Human athletes compete in virtual worlds. Through the innovative technology of the 2020 Armor vest they will be fully connected and deeply embedded into a virtual environment, the UBL Metaverse.
This will change the game forever.

The United Battle League is an international professional martial art league comprising of 8 city-based teams with three players per team from 8 countries, featuring the best martial artists on the planet. The 7-game season is a single elimination bracket system.
Powered by 2020 Armor, thrilling storylines, an immersive metaverse, guaranteed athletes salaries, and cutting-edge production, the UBL is the first martial league for the masses that maintains the 5 tenets of martial arts: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.
The UBL uses the same easy to understand scoring as popular video games like Street Fighter - you have 100% health, as you get hit your health goes down, the harder you hit, the more health you loose.
In every competition, 2 teams with 3 athletes each will compete. In every team you can find different weight categories as well as male and and female fighters. In order to ensure fair and equal conditions, it is important that both teams have athletes in the same weight categories and the same gender distribution on board.
A team must win a game to proceed to the next round. To win a game, a team must win 2 out of 3 battles. To win a battle, a team must win 2 out of 3 matches. A match is a fight between two athletes. Whoever wins 2 out of 3 rounds wins the match.
You win a match by winning 2 out of 3 rounds. You win a round by having more health on your "health bar" than your opponent’s at the end of a timed round.

The duration of every match is max. 2 Min. When the ‘health bar’ of one of the opponents is empty, the match is over.

For any single attack to the body, the impact energy will be removed from the opponent’s health bar. Kicks to the head score for double the impact.

Penalties will be given by the referee. A penalty will add health to the athlete who the infraction was committed against. A minor infraction adds 10% health and a major infraction 20%.

All competitions of the UBL will take place in a virtual world called the UBL Metaverse. The first UBL competition ever took place in various locations of Heemang. Heemang is a place in the future where new things become possible and everything we know from movies like Matrix or games like Cyberpunk will become a reality. Heemang is a fictional Asian city in the future. It is a dark and dystopian place where the competitions take place. Its residents are connected to the virtual city through technology. This is the perfect location for the launch of a a new and technology driven martial arts competition series.
In 2022, the UBL will turn into a tournament series and we will open the UBL Metaverse to a global audience. Every competition will take place at a new virtual destination and fans from all around the world will be able to enter the UBL Metaverse, choose an avatar, meet with friends and strangers, explore the different locations of the destination and watch the fights live or recorded.

Heemangs’ Metro Line connects all inner districts and theoutskirts with their numerous factories. East Gate Station islocated right in the center of Heemang. Underneath the Plaza and its surrounding parks the station opens up another part of the city. A complex net of iron and concrete with dazzling sparks coming from the electricity. Get a ticket to escape the stressful atmosphere of the city above for just a short ride, before the doors of the train open up again flushing you out again.
Hidden inside the bustling food court of Heemang lies a small alley only known by locals. It is mainly used for delievering products to the restaurants. At night it becomesan arena for the UBL. If you win here, you are one stepcloser to make it to one of the larger arenas inside Heemang. The Alley – the first entry point to the world of the UBL. A hidden place illuminated by bright neon signs. Follow the sounds of intense fighting to find it.
Similar to other organically grown cities, branching out from the core, Heemang first started from the center. It was a small market offering almost everything needed for daily life. Over the years more and more specialized stores set foot and sothe once small local market grew into a lively electric city center known as The Plaza. It also the first address when it comes to advertising. The numerous screen walls are hardto miss as they fight for every attention.
